| Thank you for your interest in the LSU Health Sciences Center School of Medicine in Shreveport! |
|
It is a great time to be considering a career in medicine, and the School of Medicine in Shreveport is a great place to pursue your goal. A mature institution, our health sciences center comprises a School of Medicine, a School of Graduate Studies and a School of Allied Health Professions.
The School of Medicine offers a four-year, system-based learning curriculum leading to the M.D. degree, but other degree options are available to address specific interests of students. The pages in this web site and its links contain a wealth of information for prospective students. We have tried to anticipate and address as many questions as possible.
I hope and trust that the information you find here will be helpful, because it was designed with you the applicants and potential applicants, and your parents, in mind.
If you find any errors or have suggestions for this site, please share them with us. Also, you should feel free to ask our help with issues not addressed on this web site. |
Lastly, those of you who interview, call or visit our office will find my assistant, Ms. Hatcher, helpful, professional and singularly nice. She and I look forward to meeting many of you in the course of campus visits and interviews, and getting to know you better as applicants, students, colleagues and practitioners.
Good luck in this and all of your future endeavors.
Dr. Kennedy
